Dear Library Friend,

This past year we eagerly welcomed back in-person opportunities and events in addition to our virtual programming. We couldn’t have accomplished this without our patrons’ adherence to safety protocols, and for that, we extend our sincere thanks. We are looking forward to an upcoming year filled with literacy, community, and learning, and are asking for your help to meet this year’s Annual Appeal goal of $12,000, about 10% of our annual operating budget. Take a look at some activities last year’s Annual Appeal helped support.

  • In-person programming with Dan the Snakeman, Catskill Puppet Theater, Rev Theatre, Read to Gus, Stuffed Animal Sleepover and the return of the popular Halloween Candy Chute
  • Adult programming including Skaneateles String Quartet, Book Club, Sci-Fi Book and Movie Night, Community Reads and Suffragists from the Stage
  • ZOOM programming including Travel Talks, Mindfulness Workshop and Museum of the Earth Dinosaur Program
  • Community Tiny Art Show in our display case
  • Capital building projects including refurbishing our front doors and a new floor in Main Room and refinished floor in Children’s Room
  • ‘Take and Make’ art kits, David Kirk Painting Workshop, Art Club and Adult Book Folding Workshop
  • ZOOM and in-person storytimes and visits to Southern Cayuga Central Schools

This year’s Annual Appeal will be used for library operating expenses, including books, programs and events like those listed above, and the Morgan Opera House Committee.  Gifts to the Preservation Committee will enable us to care for our 122-year-old building.

Thank you for your continued support – we look forward to an exciting 2022!

Sincerely,

Steve Moolin, President
