Dear Library Friend,
The Aurora Free Library has been serving our community for 126 years. As a public library, we provide a wealth of free resources to all. We do this through your support.
2025 was a busy year, as we worked to secure funding for the preservation and improvement of our historic building. This past summer, we completed the installation of the air-conditioning in our Morgan Opera House, through the kind support of the Triad Foundation of Ithaca and the Dentes Family. Currently, we are working to secure funding for new capital improvement projects, including restoration of the historic windows and the front half-timber building facade.
With your help, we will continue to bring you:
- Enriching programming including storyhours, musical and theater performances, tween and adult book clubs, and arts programming for all ages.
- Community partnerships with the local schools, Finger Lakes Library System libraries, local non-profits, and our very own Hub newsletter.
- Educational opportunities like author visits, a travel series, and gardening programs.
- Passes to local museums and parks, plus eBooks and downloadable magazines.
- Music and cultural performances in the Morgan Opera House, plus community movie showings, Lego Club, Take and Make kits, Fiber Arts, and more.
Support from volunteers and donors helps us to continue these programs and maintain our lovely library! Please consider a donation as part of your year-end holiday giving.
Your kind gift will be applied to the Library’s operating budget. If you prefer, however, you may earmark your donation for cultural events at the Morgan Opera House, or to the Preservation Committee that manages the care of our beloved building.
