“A Closer Look”
This multi-media workshop will explore the beautiful floral works of Georgia O’Keefe and her approach to perspective. In a documentary, Georgia was quoted saying ” I make my flowers BIG, so people will notice them,…people will see them”.
Participants will create close up floral pieces using a variety of medium. The workshop will include literature, art, and music pertaining to the legendary artist. You may want to have your cell phones handy as we can use them to “Zoom In” or crop images if desired.
Various resources will be available for inspiration, so all you really need to bring is yourself, perhaps an artist’s apron if desired and your creative energy!
Workshop led by Jo Gunderson May.
Ages 16 and up. Participation is limited, so sign up early! Sign up in the Library, or by emailing staff@aurorafreelibrary.org
